Biography

Bernard has over 13 years of professional experience in strategic sales, recruitment and partnership development within the higher and international education sector. He possesses exceptional knowledge and extensive networks across Australia, the UK, Europe and Southeast Asia markets, with strong expertise in developing new business partnerships, and planning and executing strategic initiatives.

His deep understanding of the international higher education sector was gleaned from his experience in formulating and spearheading student recruitment strategies and initiatives at The University of Queensland, where he was the Country Manager of Singapore and Malaysia. When he was engaged as a Senior Manager at the International Office of Singapore Management University (SMU), Bernard was involved in the development of research and academic program initiatives, and managed student and faculty mobility partnerships with European universities to promote positive mindshare and global profiling of SMU.

Bernard joined Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2022, where he will take the lead in formulating student recruitment strategies and action plans to meet enrollment goals for the University. Bernard will participate in education fairs and develop new partnerships across Asia to meet with prospects and increase applications to Embry-Riddle.
