Biography

Dr. Jack Patel is a positive and passionate international educator with teaching experience spanning five countries, across all ages and stages of education in both the public and private sector.

Dr. Patel has assumed leadership roles in educational departments since 2004. He has vast experience of teaching at a secondary school in London, a private language school in Osaka, an International School in Dubai, a Polytechnic in Bahrain and a private sector enrichment center in Singapore. Dr. Patel has a keen research interest and has successfully collaborated on industry research projects with organisations such as FAA and SkyTrax. He is also a regular attendee, whether as a presenter, chair or moderator, at international conferences such as EduCon, EduTech, AviationFest, APATS and Redesigning Pedagogy.

Dr. Patel joined ERAU Asia as a full-time instructor in 2015 and is now working as Assistant Professor and Academic Officer. He teaches courses in areas of Economics and is also involved with faculty development and research work. He is also a member of the ERAU Asia Executive Team and ERCi Academic Board.

Since his time at ERAU Asia, Dr. Patel was honoured to receive an Award for Excellence in Educational Leadership at a ceremony organised by the World Education Congress in recognition of his contributions to the education sector in Asia. At ERAU Asia, Dr. Patel has also been a proud recipient of the Professor of the Year Award in 2017 and 2018.
